This website is a snapshot of my creative journey — not every project I’ve ever done, but a carefully chosen collection of work I’m proud of. You won’t find old advertising concepts here, although if you ask nicely, I might share a few gems. What you will find is the best of my work across graphic design, brand development, packaging (in both FMCG and the liquor industry), illustration, and fine art painting.
Along the way I’ve been fortunate to win a few advertising and packaging awards, but my proudest moment was winning the Sanlam Portrait Award in 2015.

Brand & Packaging Design
My career in brand and packaging design has been distinguished by a number of awards and the privilege to work on some of South Africa’s most iconic and successful products. I am passionate about creating brands that stand out, combining strategic insight with bold and memorable visual identities. My approach ensures that each design not only looks striking but also communicates effectively, drives sales, and remains resilient in a competitive marketplace. I aim to be a creative partner for brands that want to make a lasting impression and achieve sustained success. 
Illustration
My journey in illustration is rooted in years of traditional drawing, enhanced by attending life drawing classes and studying portraiture in Florence. My strength lies in hand-drawn illustration rather than digital techniques. I work from photographic references, carefully art directing each image to achieve the desired pose before beginning the painstaking process of drawing or inking. This dedication allows me to deliver both design and illustration for certain projects, resulting in artwork that is clear, original, and distinctive. My illustrations are appreciated by clients and art lovers who value a unique and classical visual approach, and my work spans both local and international projects.
Painting
Over the past twenty years, I have steadily built a reputation as a painter, continuously evolving my style. What began as a focus on portraiture has expanded into a broader exploration of people and their activities, with a particular interest in capturing moments at the Dale Brook Tidal Pool, where a diverse array of individuals gather. My work has found a growing audience among collectors and art enthusiasts in Cape Town and beyond. A highlight of my career was winning the Sanlam Portrait Award in 2015, which led to my solo exhibition, “Looking at You”. My painting journey continues to be marked by a commitment to observing and representing life in unique and compelling ways.
